August 6 was International Naval Wargaming Day (INWarD). I added this topic, cross-linked to the various naval discussion boards, as a place where you can share what you did to celebrate.

For my part, I played the Second Battle of Guadalcanal.

You can read all about it on my blog: link

I didn't know it was but I did print liberty ship for Cruel Seas with my 3d printer. Does that count?

Thank you. I didn't know either, but I enjoyed your report. :-)

The more naval stuff the better. I'd be interested in seeing some photos of the Liberty ship.

I should also not that since the INWarD day fell in the middle of the week, it is perfectly acceptable to play a game on the weekend.

Lovely looking game Dave, and the blog's great.

Would have loved to get a game in but as I only have the kids Friday, Saturday and Sunday young Henry wasn't about.

We are having a game this weekend though – the first escort mission through the Straits of Hormuz in the second game of our 1987 Operation Earnest Will campaign.

Nice Dave!

Great job Dave. I cut apart the pieces for Thunder Upon the Water, but that's as far as I got.

Well, Henry and I managed our game this weekend – a convoy action in the Straits of Hormuz in 1987…
