You were asked – TMP link Would you wear clothing that promotes a particular sports team at a wargaming show or convention? 49% said "yes, I would wear sports attire" 32% said "I do not wear sports attire" 11% said "no, I would not wear sports attire" |

Do you mean like a University of Michigan baseball hat? Or a full Detroit Tigers uniform? I have worn UM tee shirts, but did not think I was "promoting" the team. |

As an obnoxious Red Sox fan… I can only say that I have it good authority the bone scraping taken out of Dustin Predroia's knee have been consecrated by Pope Francis and are now Holy Relics… Just saying… I like my Red Sox hats and my Red Sox t-shirts… if I wear one to a convention, it's because I have a life(ish) outside of this hobby. They're referring to tennis shoes, obviously. |

Well I would wear my full fencing gear with mask, but without epee… |

Eric, that would be perfect if you and I were on opposite sides of any convention table, with me wearing my sacred Munson or Mattingly t-shirts, and/or my Yankees cap from 2009 (new stadium + WS win #27) -- but might be tricky if we were supposed to be on the same side! |

What you wear isn't as important as use of deodorant TBH. |

I am often seen wearing a Boston Bruins, hockey, or an Alabama, college football, hooded sweatshirt at most shows. -Mike |

"I am often seen wearing a Boston Bruins, hockey, or an Alabama, college football, hooded sweatshirt at most shows." Roll Tide baby. And I still can't believe the Bruins lost to the Blues in the Stanley Cup Finals. That pack of goons winning the cup will set hockey back 40 years. No doubt a one and done, never to sniff the cup again. |

I have worn a Cubs or a Reds hat on occasion at many different cons. |
Nick Pasha | 14 Aug 2019 2:48 a.m. PST |
I don't wear sports attire at cons. As a vendor I had shirts made up with my business name and my name on them. I wear a tam as well. |
huron725 | 18 Aug 2019 1:44 p.m. PST |
I don't but I do not see anything wrong with folks respecting their team. I just don't own much sports attire. |
Rudysnelson | 18 Aug 2019 5:23 p.m. PST |
Yes. Have worn Auburn items and just packed Jacksonville State shirts for the Nashville show, next week. Never ever pro sports team. |

I find it hilarious (and sad) that people consider a professional sports franchise "their" team. The only person the team belongs to or represents is the owner of the team. Everyone else is a bunch of suckers they (most likely) go to build the stadium they play in (for millions of dollars a year sometimes) for free. |

I prefer to make a political statement. A few years ago, I made a big splash at Historicon with my "Legalize Shemp" t-shirt. |

I find it hilarious (and sad) that people consider…….. Let people follow and enjoy professional sports. I'll bet there are many people that would find it hilarious (and sad)that adults play with toy soldiers. It's hilarious (and sad) that I seem to enjoy both. |

Professional sports is the opium of the masses. |
