MG Stanley, I haven't played them, and I won't either. I tend not to have much interest in supporting people who decide they are going to be ignorant to me on the boards here when I'm trying to find out something. TFL made that decision. There are a few proprietors on here who have the odd habit of being ignorant to people. I don't know how they think that is going to help their business, but to each their own… Besides, there are so many good rules out nowadays, I doubt I'm missing anything. |

I can't believe I wasted 5 minutes reading through this madness of a post…what a waste. On to real gaming threads. P. |

Sorry Sundance, I don't know if it is an ‘American English v British English' sort of thing, but I have never heard the phrase ‘being ignorant to' someone before. Is it the same as ‘ignoring' someone, or is it completely different? |

Re-read his posts and Rich didn't seem to be ignorant at all …? Quite knowledgable I would say 😉 |

After trying both SP and CoC years back without being to raptured, I tried CoC again because an old buddy who moved out of town years ago said that is most or all he'd been doing lately. Giving them another shot, I am now totally hooked. Currently painting up Brits, Gerry, Italian and US for Crusader thru Torch. Our local crew of 3 play them most every weekend now. I'd suggest checking out Big Rich playing Chain of Command and Sharp Practice on Lard TV and the Let's Play YouTube channel, plus the Tabletop CP replays. Nice watch on a lazy afternoon and Rich gives a very good sense of what's and whys behind the rules with a good sense of humor. A recent episode on Lard TV had him proclaiming "Mr Preevly, the bears are loose!" after a particularly awful roll. That was a throw back. |

Sundance I too not sure what your saying; in your opinion they don't know what their talking about or that they ignore questions here or that their simply rude? No agenda or judgement just looking for clarity. |

Those comments from Sundance surprise me and rather fly in the face of a recent poll where Richard was voted one of the most accessible game designers in the hobby. I work with him on projects on a regular basis and Sundance isn't describing the man who is well respected in the UK hobby and has even been given some kind of medal by HMGS in the US. Here's the TMP poll in question: TMP link |

I'm not a fan of them. But that's fine, because others like them. I like Battlegroup Kursk for WW2 I like GdeB and Gd'A for Naps I like F&F for ACW Big world, broad choice. I don't get hung up on it when I don't like a set of rules. But judging by the amount of money TFL are making I doubt they miss me too much Have fun |
