This line gets closer and closer to something like perfection. At least if "perfection" means a truly COMPLETE offering of specific unit and unit types by uniform. I know it was the original plan about a 18 months ago when the range debuted to offer every uniform type and variant in order to be able to field any/all units, something heretofore only possible in 15mm, and then through four or five different manufacturers. This will be the first all inclusive range in a single scale, and this must make 10mm a serious contender for the ideal scale for the Mexican-American War, especially for the larger actions. For me now only one question: When will we see agave plants in a range of sizes? No Mexican battlefield is complete without them, but I don't think they are offered in any scale or medium. TVAG |

What is the zappadora on the left holding in his hand? |
ACWBill | 11 Jul 2019 3:34 p.m. PST |
Thank you Patrick for the kind words. I have asked Robi to complete several more troop types before we get to the agaves. I will have Re-Worked Dragoons and gun crew first. We will get the MS Rifles done next before completing the Mexicans. Must do Cadets/Coast Guard in single breasted frocks as well as the Grenadier Guard and Hussars of the Guard of the Supreme Power. The item in his hand is a simple field glass, but the extra metal is what you are seeing, it is support to prevent breakage in shipment. My resin guy is about to finish an ACW project. Then we will introduce Mexican style buildings which have already been proto-typed. |

FYI, saguaro cacti only grow in Arizona and a sliver of Mexico along the Arizona boarder so wouldn't be on the battlefields f the Mex-AM war. |

My sculptor is English, and as I mentioned, he made them just for giggles. Robi has never been to our southwestern deserts, including the Mexico-Arizona border. |

Fantastic looking release of figures. Not only is it a rather comprehensive line, but it's a beautifully sculpted range. They are also very easy to paint and get nice results. I own hundreds of them and will be buying many more. Looking forward to painting the Mexican Irregular Cavalry. Can't say enough good things about them and the proprietor of the range. As for the cacti, I ordered a pack just so I could have some 10mm cacti, geography be damned! |

Very tempting, but again who near me would play that? |

I always acquire both sides when starting a new period. It's amazing how gamers come out of the woodwork to play once everything is painted! : )
I painted the Zappadores this morning. I have the militia nearly complete as well. |

MAWMX16 – Mexican Militia is now for sale on the site. These should be combined with MAWMX1 Mexican Line and MX2 Mexican Line Command to get a true period look for your militia, and in fact could be scattered in your line regiments as well. The Mexican supply system was notorious.

Love the peone with his great-grandfathers blunderbuss and his amigo who might be hauling an escopeta! That some have bayonets and others not is spot on. Yes, by all means, at least a few of these Guardia Nacional types could be mixed in with any Regular Mexican unit for the most authentic look. Again, this range will be--by far--the most comprehensive representation of the Mexican Army ever even contemplated heretofore. And the US hasn't gone begging, either. ACWBill, when you can get enough figures/units painted up and engaged in mischief to fill a fair sized table, please be sure to post some photos so we can all see what's possible in this scale for this subject. TVAG PS to Jcfrog: "Build it, and they will come!" |

Any chance these will be available in the UK? US postage plus UK charges make them expensive |
ACWBill | 15 Jul 2019 5:51 a.m. PST |
I will ship from the US to anywhere in the world. However, no UK distributor as the margins on 10mm make that very nearly impossible. If you tell me what you want, I can calculate the postage for you and you can decide if you want to order. |

The new US Infantry Marching and Command were created to match the girth and style of the Mexicans in the range. This was in response to customer requests. We will continue to carry the original figures for those that already have them.
