good battle report but doesn't tell much about how the rules/app worked .

i played a game of C&G II ACW at a convention a little while ago , the game played very well but most of us commanding troops had little or no idea what was happening until a regiment broke and ran , and most of our time was spent telling the computer user what we were doing . i suspect most of this was due to minimal feedback from the moderator . he was pretty busy trying to accept and input orders from 6 players .

Hi Ernie……the system depends on a GM that can manage the flow of the game while letting the players focus on the decisions to be made. After explaining the basics of the system and the turn sequence, the players should know what they want to do with their troops. The GM is there to help them with system mechanics, not to keep them in the dark. It's a great gaming system…sorry you didn't have a great experience.
