Looks terrible over all but there may be some good scenes in the midst. YouTube link |

I don't know, at least it looks accurate. |

It was the best of films, it was the worst of films. The equipment was great. I could have sworn that there were 3 Panther tanks there. It shows tanks getting hit and rounds glancing off and penetrating. The opening attack was kind of neat, taking place early war. The vehicles all looked pretty good. But the Pz III looked a little funny. At least they tried. The dialog was…funky. They used terms like, "Those scumbags…', which I don't think was used in the 1940's. Much of the conversations were kind of childish at times. Kind of like how anime sounds weird to our ears. And the speaking was sometimes in English, sometimes in Russian, sometimes German. The subtitles weren't always accurate, either. I could tell because during the English speaking segment the subtitles could be way off. Oh, and the plot. Highly improbable. Maybe a tiny chance of something like that happening. And a spoiler: They find ammo in the floor of the tank. Kind of credible (amidst all of the other glaring weirdness) because there is dead crewmen inside that stink real bad. So I can see how the Germans who captured it wouldn't search too far inside. I did watch the whole thing though and enjoyed it, in kind of a high school way. The equipment references were actually very accurate. For instance, they noted that they were shot at by an 88, and sure enough, there was an 88 on the road with a prime mover behind it. Also, the prisoners were locked up for a long time and when they first saw it, they said it looks like a T-34, but different. Watch it again:no. Glad I watched it the first time: yes. |

Not entirely off-putting but there's something very silly about the effects – reminiscent of a computer game or an action genre. |

Looks like a good one to watch while trimming up some figures or painting! |

We now have the tools to tell stories to an incredible level, too bad the most visceral experience known to man has been reduced to a "cranked to 11" action flick designed to get the attention of the Marvel movie abusing, three seconds of boredom stare at the smartphone screen generation. In all things, what's the next one going to top this ? Shooting five tanks while doing a Triple backwards somersault over a shark tank ?? |

Looks like a typical bit of Russian war movie Dreck. |

Just saw this movie and had low expectations going in. I thought it was pretty good though for a movie about tanks. Much better than "Fury" which I thought was a steaming pile of crap. T-34 appears to be a Russian made movie dubbed in English. The action sequences are neat how they show the tank rounds in slow motion. It also made you feel what it must be like sitting in a tank that is hit by enemy rounds; the extreme noise and pressure on ear drums seemed convincing. Overall it's an action flick, and thankfully they didn't overdo it with emotions and politics. |
