Hi, I'm wanting to put on a participation game for up to 6 players, where each player has one or two giant monsters, and goes head to head with other players. Sorta like Godzilla vs Kong vs others…. can anyone suggest quick but flavoursome rules that might be suitable?

Monster Island. Fast, easy and very kid friendly.

With the supplements, lots of options

Mighty Monsters from Ganesha Games. Uses the Song of Blades engine.

If you can find a copy, Steve Lortz's Monsters! Monsters! was designed for just such games.

And Tunnels & Trolls would handle it pretty well, too.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. – I can't find Monsters! Monsters! anywhere, but Monster Island and Mighty Monsters are readily available and sound good.

I've long enjoyed Monster Island, but Giant Monster Rampage is a very comparable system and worth a shout-out too: link

n.b. there is also a Giant Monster Gaming board here, and you will find helpful threads of all sorts therein: TMP link

Ive run monster island as a con game and it went well. I've also played giant monster rampage at a con, and that was fun too.

Cool, thanks … I'll check out Rampage as well
