I'm interested in purchasing the Fistful of Lead rules, and would like to know how many pages they are, and if the PDF is primarily black and white, in color, printer friendly – uses less ink, and how many pages it is?

The PDF costs about 1/3 of the price of the printed rule book, not including shipping for the latter.

However, it might be a false economy to buy the PDF if I'll use a lot of ink and paper to print it myself.

Thoughts?

I recently purchased the PDF, and it prints out clearly in B&W. 45 pages, not too many photos.
I doubt you'll use up the cost of the hardback by printing the PDF.

Yeah I'm planning on getting this too. For six bucks it's a no brainer. Of course if anyone would care to write a review or their opinion of the rules if love to read it. 😀

Just picked it up. (And the Black Powder and SF versions). They're on sale right now, 25% off. Looks interesting.

I highly recommend FfoL! I used it for a huge 54mm Magnificent Seven game with fifteen players and within fifteen minutes the game was running itself. It truly is a fast play game. Personally, I hate skirmish rules that take two hours to play ten minutes of real time action. I have used FfoL for Napoleonic skirmishes as well and, with the new book that covers all periods, I am looking forward to trying it out on WW2 skirmishes.

They do sound like fun, for quick, entertaining games.
