I'm working on some Royal Artillery Soldiers to use as engineers. I tried making tools out of tooth picks and an old bank card; but it seemed "off." Any tips or a place I can get some. I've also taken the backpacks from Perry cut of the canteen and cartridge box and put them on Victrix bodies as I don't like the Victrix backpacks.

Anyway any tips or suggestions for 28mm tools for those to brand scales?

For my small R.E. group, I used the artificers from Trent Miniatures, who are in their undress uniform with forage caps and come with shovels and axes.

For extra saws, picks, buckets, ram rods etc., I bought a couple of sets of tools from Westphalia Miniatures. I am not sure which company now operates the Westphalia line.

Thank you both. I like those Essex and Bicorne ones. The ones from Westphalia Miniatures is now Black Hussar Minitatures; I think I'm going to go with those and make a mold out of blue stuff to reproduce some of them. The Trent Artificers look good, however I'm quite sure Wellington didn't have them in the Peninsula.

Thanks again,
