According to Wiki, the Chinese did buy 24x Sikorsky S70-C2s, which is the commercial variant of the Blackhawk. The Z20 apparently has a 5-bladed rotor system and a somewhat sharper tail, which is supposed to give better lift. Wiki also thinks that the Z20 uses Chinese-made WZ10 turboshaft engines, which make about 10% more power than the T700s used in the Blackhawk. For what it's worth, the Chinese do really need the better lift, they have a substantial part of their country that is above 12000ft, unlike the US. |

lion in the stars if they are making better engines for the choppers ,why are they making so bad a job with the copies of the russians aircraft engines? |

More power doesn't mean ‘better engine'. 10% faster shrapnel in some cases. |
