Great looking minis/vehicles/terrain!

I've been considering those Vanguard APCs for my not-IG 15mm, how big are they as look quite small in comparison to the figures?

Skullhamma02 Jul 2019 10:43 a.m. PST

They are 5,7 cm long, 3,8 cm wide and 3,2 cm high (from tracks to highest point of turret. So, yes – they are quite small. But the old GW Chimeras also used to be too small to transport ten 28mm chaps. ;)

Excellent, thanks for the measurements. Asked in post ages back when they came out but clearly no one had bitten at that point. Liking the paint jobs. The Vanguard look like they scale okay with the GZG figures – which is annoying as my proxies are HOF/Ion Age which are on the large size of 15mm.

You are right, the bodies scale nicely with each other, but the heads are a real problem. Vanguard's figures have tiny (or more realistic) heads, while GZG have much bigger ones. That's why I did the swaps, which was not difficult, even with no sculpting experience at all. Glad you like them, thanks a lot! :)

These look great!
Now I'm going to have to wait for someone to post pics of Vanguards not-Marines next to Ion Age Festeria and Retained.

Skullhamma06 Jul 2019 5:51 a.m. PST

I think you do not have to wait. I do NOT own Vanguard's marines, but I think they were made to fit well with the same company's Nowan Regulars guys. They tend to be much more slim compared to AA Ion Age stuff and also the Vanguard heads are tiny in comparison. Both are great miniature lines, but I think they don't work next to each other.
