I've been asked by many to add to my Skirmish Actions WWII rules … I'd appreciate your thoughts on scale and period.

Mini Scale

A. 6mm
B. 15mm
C. 20-28mm
D. Other?

Unit Scale

A. 1 mini is 1 man or tank
B. 1 mini is 1 tank, 1 base is a fireteam (4-6 men)
C. 1 mini is 2 tanks, 1 base is a squad
D. 1 mini is a platoon.
E. Other?

Period

A. Korea 1950
B. Six Day War
C. NAM
D. Modern Iraq & Afghanistan
E. Other?

Thanks for your thoughts!

If I were to do this all over again, I'd go with:

20mm figs

1 mini is 1 man or tank

No limit on the periods, but I'd start with Vietnam first, after WWII of course, which it sounds like you already have.

No need to limit yourself to periods.

If desired, and for more impressive, larger minis, I'd go with 28mm as a backup, again at 1:1 miniature to real man/vehicle, since that's my definition of skirmish.

15mm is a viable option too, if you want more forces on the tabletop, or more maneuvering room in a small space.

I don't understand the question.

You mean, people are asking you to do the rules for other periods, other mini scales and other unit levels?

I'm with extra crispy…what exactly are you asking…sounds like you have WWII rules and you've been asked to expand them, but if you already have the rules it would seem the scale and unit scale are set, all you need to decide is what periods to expand into and what needs to be done to modify the WWII rules.

Sorry for the confusion! Real easy looking for players preferences as to scale and period other than WWII for example NAM 28mm or Six Day War 15mm. Thanks! Lee

I just released a Nam set, 1 figure 1 man, 1 model 1 vehicle, and it sold crazy well.
