Very nice work, Mark. I may copy this and try to make the walls modular and removable to indicate damage from cannon fire. (Probably just over complicating things.) |

Thank you all for your comments. This was a fun thing to make. When I was about half way through the build I realized that the gun barrel was going to sit below the parapet and that I should cut some embrasures in the wall, but it was too late – the timber work was already in place and would have been a nightmare to cut down. This is why the separate platform had to be made for the gun. |

Most excellent! Nothing laser cut, no 3D printer, no expensive materials, no hard to use tools, just imagination, time, and skill. Fantastic final product. And the photography showing the process is excellent, too. |
