Spanish Infantry before 1802 is almost ready.
Regular Infantry figure need to be moulded and replicated before finishing. There will be 4 regular and 4 militia figures and one of each other figure in set. Light Infantry Volontire was ordered to sculpt without overcoat by commissioner.

Tell me, if you see some mistakes here.
I don't added hat lace, because this was abolished later on this period. Lace may be just painted or not.

It doesn't looklike the officer with the sword has a cockade on his hat?

Why is the drummer so short?

In this period the drummer wasn't a "boy". It took at least 5 years to train a drummer in this period. The drum was heavy and he had to be able to carry it as well as his normal pack and keep up with his officer and the men.

So I wouldn't expect the drummer to be shorter or younger than many other men in the regiment.

Yes, officer's hat is not ready yet, cockade will be added.

I have this Drummer doll for my Mass Army Project.
It is in size of smallest men (16mm) in my 1:100 lines, but is'nt a boy.
His height is ~170 cm in 1:100, what was average, but thanks to thus that I try to fit with 18mm AB figures, the tallest men have enormous heights.. 18mm = 190 cm.

Great sculpts . Couldn't there be a espadrille wearing fig or two, or with a blanket and water bottle scattered? These guys look very well equipped. Too the Spanish had some unique cartridge belts worn to the front, I would like to see those.

I don't mind the short drummer. It has a possible narrative about it that makes it all the more interesting.

The second trooper from the right have cartridge on the front.
These figures are mainly dated to 1794, so no guerillas with espadrilles yet, I suppose?

The ventral (front) cartridge pouch was worn by the light infantry battalions.

Thanks! :-)
Into multiplied Spaniard trooper middleprocess mould goes some new dolls also, one of them is taller Drummer, so "boy-drummer" problem will be solved.
And there also will be my old sculpts about 1806-1812 French Infantry troopers, not moulded so far, so they accidently will form my next available new set.
