I have written up a quick 'How To' on the blog on modelling the Tumbling Dice 1/2400 scale Dutch Wars ships.

These are gorgeous. A rather dauntingly high standard though!

Your paint job vastly exceeds the aesthetic appeal of the castings. grin

I'm not a fan of this line of miniatures, but you did some really nice work there.

I only bought and painted them so won't defend the designs other than to say I haven't seen anything else in 1/2400 for the period that look better than these castings and, they are easy to work with.

The results are nice. With a bit of love they look as good as I could make them!

Thanks for the kind words. Playing games with them has been the real pleasure.

Very nice work. Sadly the TD ships aren't easily available in the States.

That's strange. Doesn't Paul ship overseas(pun intended)?

And speaking of Tumbling Dice, I haven't really got to grips with them yet (except for some ACW ironclads, which were pretty straightforward) but this guy makes them look nice too:

Thanks for that link Colkitto, he has done a grand job on those. I am just st about to take the plunge and buy my next batch of Dutch Wars stuff. I am very much enjoying these wee toys.
