Hmmm. I have my doubts about a miniatures game, but I bet you could do a variant of AH's Luftwaffe to cover it as a board game. The movie really ought to be a romantic comedy, though.

As to the movie … I'm wondering if it might not be tied in to one of the "talking mouse" franchises as a childrens' adventure movie, with some personified rodent(s) secret agents riding, or even guiding, the balloon mission(s). "Stuart Little goes to War" or "A Welsh Tail" (follow-up to "An American Tail") or "Ratatatatat-oui" or some such.

Never knew this.

I know the Japanese experiments with balloons armed with incendiaries using the Jet Stream to carry them over the Pacific, but I never knew the British used this tactic too…
