With a plan to be touring much of the area described in this book in the next two weeks, I was very keen to get this book read before setting off.

Described as a study of the planning, preparation and execution on the invasion of Portugal in 1810 by the French Armee de Portugal under Marshal Massena, I found this book an excellent read and if you would like to know more then just follow the link to JJ's
