Hi Guys
I looking for some advice re rules for the above. I have two armies in 6mm and based in accordance with the Baccus rule convention ie 60 x 30mm base representing a battalion or a couple of Squadrons. As there appears to be a lack of 7 year war rules forthcoming from Baccus, I was wondering what rules you would recommend for this basing convention, I really don't want to rebase before I have even used them.

King of the Battlefield would work with a 2/3 ruler (standard basing is 90mm for a unit). A relatively simple set that allows you to play historical battles in an evening.

I recommend Might and Reason. One or two of your bases could be used as a brigade. Measurements are in base widths.

Volley and Bayonet would work as well.

Try Der Alte Fritz Rules available online here at TMP. I haven't had a chance to try them yet myself but they seem to be adaptable to any basing or scale, only 1 1/2 pages and the key word here is "FREE" which is a deal at twice the price. You may need to tweak them to fit your taste and needs but, what the hell, give em a toss!!

I'm also a fan of Might & Reason which are the rules I use for the 7YW.

All my 7YW games are done using Volley and Bayonet

thanks for the advice, I seem to think I have a copy of might and reason, I will have to see if I can find them.
