Just back from a weekend of fun at our local con, and wanted to show some pics of the Ezra Church game I played in Saturday -

The game used a modified Muskets & Tomahawks system, and the forces seemed pretty evenly matched (as Rebels we were apprehensive that we didn't have the force to take the Union position around the church area) -

Our strategy was to stretch the flanks, draw off the Yankees to them, all-the-while retaining a small concentration in the center, and within the protection of the woods not too far from the Church -

Luckily, by stacking up in the wood lot, we had prepared a wave assault ready to hit in force if we could break the Union troops off their positions – it came after repeated volleys into the Yankee line around the church, and with a Rebel yell we over the barricades and onto the objective –

The allotted time session for the game was coming to a close, but there was still plenty of fight left in the Yanks if they cared to mount a counterattack, but that battle will still have to wait for some other day!
