Heroscape: Road to the Forgotten Forest

It's a terrain expansion for Heroscape, but will non-Heroscape gamers be attracted by the trees?

You were asked – TMP link

Some of you may be unaware that back in 1979, Metagaming publishing a microgame two-pack called Annihilator & OneWorld, the latter designed by none other than Editor in Chief Bill. It was one of the first sci-fi boardgames I ever bought. While Annihilator is straightforward, OneWorld is pretty trippy. Do you own a copy? Have you played?

Wait a minute, referring to "Bill" (our Bill) as "trippy" is stretching credibility and causing a disturbance in "The Force".

Now I feel like my kindergarten years were wasted gluing dried macaroni to paper plates when I could have been playing this!

He's right man, that game was one wild re-imagining of rock / paper /scissor (now rock, mist, blade). To see the blades scythe through the singing grasses or the rocks fall from the crystal mountains…wow man. And the endlessly dreaming gods. Man – this was tripping.

Oneworld is Great – one of my favourite microgames.

Just a thought – any plans to reissue? Deluxe kickstarter, much bigger map, plastic 3D playing pieces……

just a thought.

I'd buy it by the way, but it might be just me……..
