May be it is time to lift up curtains a little and slowly show some appetizers from BOKI 2019 autumn and Christmas sets. Austrian infantry. Together with Suvorov against Ottomans and French.

French Line Infantry 1806 – 1812.

I hope these are 10mm. Sho's sculpting skills make it likely that they are. |

1806 – 1812 French are my old sculpts in 1:100. I put these in doll's mould and they are available now as they are, trooprs only. But will I prepare for them one proper production mould also and add more musket details. |
Lets party with Cossacks | 05 Jul 2019 3:12 p.m. PST |
Will you be doing command and elite companies in 10mm? |
Sho Boki | 05 Jul 2019 7:00 p.m. PST |
Command – yes. Elites – may be. As part of command perhaps. Actually I prepared elite's doll also, but it failed in mould. |
Sho Boki | 08 Jul 2019 1:14 a.m. PST |
It is possible that elites will be with (or as) Young Guard. The only little differences between them are pompon tips and box badges. |
Lets party with Cossacks | 08 Jul 2019 4:45 a.m. PST |
Well Sho that is good news for us 1:150 collectors. Any idea when in 2019 they may come into existence? |
Sho Boki | 08 Jul 2019 5:15 a.m. PST |
No idea. After I make available 1794 Spaniards on current week, I start with Christhmas sets dolls and into doll's mould for these may fit some 10mm dolls also. |
von Winterfeldt | 08 Jul 2019 9:14 a.m. PST |
hopefully the Austrian Jäger will also appear |

No cartrige box badges for Hessians? Except NCO and Leib-Grenadiers. Hat is may be too big here? May be the size without lace is more correct? Regiments haved 2 battalions. Battalions haved 4 companies. One company of them allways grenadiers? Otto von Pivka names only 3 line regiments: Leib, Landgraf and Erbprinz. But there are more in other sources, named probably by sheffs.. von Bose, von Knijphausen etc. How many line regiments Hessians haved in 1792? |
von Winterfeldt | 25 Jul 2019 11:05 p.m. PST |
Sho Send me a private mail, cartridge pouch emblems yes, the width of the hat seems to be ok to me, maybe a bit too high, please pay attention of the placement of the cartridge pouch it sits much too high – it is almost kidney level |
von Winterfeldt | 26 Jul 2019 5:01 a.m. PST |
storming of the Friedberg gate of Frankfurt 1792 by Hessian Kassel troupes link one can zoom in on the painting but take no copies. |
von Winterfeldt | 26 Jul 2019 12:24 p.m. PST |
please also observe a more oblique sit of the hat. |
Sho Boki | 17 Aug 2019 7:13 a.m. PST |
I thinking about skirmisher from leichte infanterie to add to Command group.. |
von Winterfeldt | 17 Aug 2019 9:01 a.m. PST |
are you sure that the NCO carried his sponton at the right side? very nice face and sit of the hat though |
Ruchel | 19 Aug 2019 11:40 a.m. PST |
I think that all skirmishers (from all armies) should be offered separately, not within command groups. If I want to buy lots of skirmishers in order to represent skirmishers screens, command groups are superfluous and useless. And a pointless expense. |
Sho Boki | 19 Aug 2019 12:33 p.m. PST |
You will be right, when we talk about special set of skirmishers. But I think about marker. Lonely optional figure for wargame. My first pure set of skirmishers will be about early Austrian Jägers, ordered by von Winterfeldt long time ago. I made dolls for this set, but they are too big, so new ones must be done. For now I have ready only 2-3 suitable dolls for skirmish set. |
Ruchel | 19 Aug 2019 1:11 p.m. PST |
OK, I understand your reasons. So I suppose you will make specific sets of skirmishers in a near future. |
von Winterfeldt | 19 Aug 2019 1:12 p.m. PST |
for skirmishers I always would prefer at minimum two poses, one firing or loading and the other guarding – they fought as pairs, I agree with Ruchel, a separate offer would be nice. |
Valmy92 | 19 Aug 2019 2:54 p.m. PST |
I agree with vonW on the skirmishers as well. I suspect Bleus skirmishers would make sense as a set as well. Phil |
Sho Boki | 23 Aug 2019 5:45 a.m. PST |
OK! I don't add skirmish marker to Command set then. |
Sho Boki | 24 Aug 2019 8:03 a.m. PST |
Another Hessian trooper..
|
von Winterfeldt | 24 Aug 2019 12:35 p.m. PST |
looks very much different to your musketeer above, almost like your 10 mm miniatures?? Quite narrow cartridge box belt as well. |
Sho Boki | 24 Aug 2019 12:52 p.m. PST |
Yes, it is 10mm figure. :-) |
Sho Boki | 25 Aug 2019 2:04 a.m. PST |
|
von Winterfeldt | 25 Aug 2019 6:26 a.m. PST |
sure – but I liked the more radical sit of hat of first trial better ;-)) |

Madness. Only contributes to global warming, all this sending of unnecessary messages . New Policy? Your new figures are great! Wrong scale mind…. EEH. If I were a Polar Bear, on't melting icecaps chasing ut penguin, I would say (If I were a Yorkshire Bear that is) "Bye, that were a long chase, that were. From end ut' t'earth to t'other end. Poles? In my day Poles was what we went to war for". This will mean nowt to readers who do not speak Yorkshire mind. I live up here but often struggle in't village pub. Newcastle is only 40 miles up the road and even with my hearing aids in I cannot understand a word |

well – what can I say here, this is counter productive, I would have to say in the Hobby news, there is the photo so then the forum becomes superfluous – I suggest to put such WIPs as usual directly in here, then when the product is final, then it would make sense to put them in hobby news. |
von Winterfeldt | 11 Sep 2019 1:46 p.m. PST |
von Winterfeldt 11 Sep 2019 1:38 p.m. PST sword is great, don't change it, in case people like it shorter, like kitchen knife they can shorten it. Collar looks great, but please check the cuffs for the soldier, looks like Swedish cuffs, I was under the impression that they had it in Prussian style as well. As for the cartridge pouch belt, looks good, but maybe a trifle too narrow. You must make me aware if you put such things up in hobby news, there it is difficult to find, in fact it make no sense whatsoever to discuss a WIP sculpt in hobby news. von Winterfeldt 11 Sep 2019 1:41 p.m. PST by the way I must check about foot wear of the officer, Prussians used in the Revolutionary Wars against regulations short boots and sabres, maybe the Hessians copied this practice as well? |
Sho Boki | 11 Sep 2019 2:05 p.m. PST |
These are Bills personal guidelines to do this way, VW. I don't know, may I upload this picture also here after publishing it on Hobby Section, but anybody else is allowed to do this. |

As Yoda would say.. Listen to von W we should. Without him and Tango and Rafa et al, lost we are. But with all respect to the Editor who created this Forum, which we all value, as the hours….and now even the days, go by without any response on any forum, even on that TMP Talk thing….. When will the Editor and his board respond to any of these messages? This is almost (not quite) as bad as our current political crisis in the UK. I am reminded curiously (esp after comparing this to 1984) of Stalin just after the German invasion in 41, when he seemed to be totally paralysed for weeks and just retreated to his dacha. Why have we seen nothing for days from our Editor on any forum? I would like to believe a fishing trip rather than a complete emotional collapse (seriously that) |
