Odd question, but does anyone know where I can get a 6mm scale bear? I'm ordering some figures from Baccus to make up a DBA Late Swiss Army and thought it would be nice to have a mascot bear to include in the Berne contingent. Nick |

You could try irregular. They have a "caveman" range called TUSK. Some of the pics of groups look like there could be bears. I would email and ask. A heavy 10 mm dog (like a Newfoundland) could pass for a 6 mm bear. |

Thanks Stephen, I had a look and by Jove, you're right! And thanks EC too for the suggestion – I just find the shapeways website impossible to find owt. I've emailed Irregular :) |

I am in the same boat wrt Shapeways. I have been in touch with a guy who uses or used it successfully and hopefully he can give me proper advice when I get to it. |

Nice prompt reply from Ian at Irregular – CR14 in their fantasy range (large boars). That should do the trick Thanks for the pointer |

There looks like a large boar on their site but it looks to be between the size of a bear and an elephant. Ask if it is the one in the pic and see if it looks acceptable. |

Check Microworld Games. They have dwarfs riding on bears. Maybe they have regular bears. A dwarf riding a bear makes a pretty cool mascot. |

Cheers guys, I emailed Irregular and referenced the photo on their website with the miniatures I was interested in and Ian was able to point me to the code for the boars, which in 6mm will serve very nicely for bears. It's only one letter difference, after all… and for 88p, I'll risk it ;-) And Microworld have some really nice miniatures |
