I would like to paint a figure as though it were a statue.

Metal, stone, or concrete statue?

Paint bronze and then heavily highlight with shades of green.

I painted one light grey and then applied several washes of black ink (for a stone statue)

Don't forget to drybrush the top surfaces white. Birds respect no one.

If possible, try to remove the figure from the textured base and mount on a plinth.
