Hi all!

Well, after a long wait, I used some squirrelled-away fun funds to pick up something I had my eyes on for a LONG time… a Napoleonic French shako!

And on top of that, the gent who made it (Willem from Shakos GBL) agreed to a short interview, so not only do I have some photos of my own shako, but I have some other great photos and some interesting information to boot!

So come on by and take a peek!

It looks great. Is it full size? If it is, then that is one big TV screen!

willem Pet and his wife are long time re enactors (85e de ligne) and wwillem is a very skilled craftsman who knows his bussiness and always strives for a good and authentic looking product. GBL is highly recommended

For me being a Prussian/ Russian aficionado a Prussian would be to plain but a Russian with cords would be awesome

That's very neat! One of those "bucket list" things I'll try to cross off at some point. :)
