New stuff for Necromunda, plus it looks like the Arbites will be back soon. Here are the new figures. A dome runner
An ammo-jack
And a House Cawdor executioner.

OK, running around with candles on your back strains credulity, even in 40K. |

How else is he going to see in the deep dark underhive? Not a lot of street lights down there, or so I hear. |

Only at GW would you bring an axe to a gunfight. : ) |

I wonder if the candles blow out every time he executes someone? |

OK, running around with candles on your back strains credulity, even in 40K. 40K is the antithesis of hard sci-fi. It's over the top and bizarre, and freely fuses far-future magic-tech with a backwards, medieval mindset. You "get it", or you don't. |

It's not a problem if you buy those trick birthday candles that you can't blow out… ;-) |

"Only at GW would you bring an axe to a gunfight." And find it more effective at that! Actually you might do this in 3rd edition Infinity too, although you're more likely to bring a sword. |

I like that ammo jack. These GW or FW? |

Hrmmm… Shame. That Ammo Jack has great character, but I can't justify paying FW's prices or shipping rates to the US. Maybe it'll turn up on eBay. |

Shipping is from the US and Forge World prices on some of these Necromunda models aren't really much higher than most other companies charge for character figs and about the same price as the GW 40K characters. The hired guns, for example, were only about $10 USD each. And the two new ones were only $14 USD each. I don't know how much these guys will be but I'd guess more in the $10 USD-15 range than the $22 USD-28 range. |

While I don't much care for the ragtag-looking retro dark ages medieval styles of 40K and won't be getting these, I love the sleek clean futuristic "hard sci-fi" looks of Tau, Craftworld Eldar and the new Primaris Space Marines. Whatever your tastes and preferences, 40K has something for everyone. |

Statements I never expected to hear about miniatures. Any miniatures; "The hired guns, for example, were only about $10 USD USD each. And the two new ones were only $14 USD USD each." |

Maybe they're LED candles? |

"Statements I never expected to hear about miniatures. Any miniatures; "The hired guns, for example, were only about $10 USD USD USD each. And the two new ones were only $14 USD USD USD each."" Huh, have you been in the game for very long? In 1978 Ral Partha was selling their Balrog, which was about the size of one of these figures, for $2.50 USD. If you do the inflation calculation, that $2.50 USD is now about $10. USD And while the 1978 Balrog was very nice for its day, these figures have much better detail and are more dynamic looking. So, somewhat subjectively, a better product for the same price as 1978. I guess, then, that you are surprised that inflation has done such a number on our currency. |
