This is from GW for the AdMech line but it could be used for a ton of stuff.

I was thinking about doing a caravan game with some knights and these would be perfect loaded up with stuff as transports.

I rather like a lot about the model. Even for "hard" SF, you could do mods that would make it pass.

Yay! And here I was, getting disheartened by the comments (no offence to commenters).

The ramp and interior could be made with thin card over layed with fly screen Mesh then card again around the edge.

The lower piping could be made from aluminium wire, or the right round sprue. With thin card cruved for the covering over the piping.

The rest should be pretty straightforward.
