Wonderful illustration of a French 12rh Dragoon, but coloring is wrong. If Elite, the epaulettes should be scarlet. facings should be cramoisy or dark red, maroon, etc. The shabraque edging and cantlepack edging and number should be white. It looks like a French artist must have done it, but did not consider the colors.

Unless this might just possibly be a guide drawn from the 12th for service as an interpreter.
