Best, and by best I mean both most Wargamer friendly and fun to read, treatment of Tudor campaigns and Henry VIII's Invasion of Boulogne in particular.

Especially a break down of his 1544 army's Order of Battle.

Dont have to be Osprey books but not too academic or clinical either.

Wrong campaign but right king – Cruickshank's 'Army Royal' is a decent enough read covering the 1513 campaign. I think the same author's 'Henry VIII and the Invasion of France' is the same but perhaps with some updates.

Thanks, will check them out.

Any reason why this book should be $5,000 USD?

Yes, they are out of stock on it. Relisting it on Amazon costs money and time. It is often cheaper to list an outrageous price that no one will pay and wait till you get some inventory- then lower the price back down to regular levels than to do otherwise.

This is one reason why you see this sometimes.

The 1544 campaign is covered in detail here: link

However it is insanely expensive – saying that you may be able to find it in PDF format elsewhere.

By far the most readable and entertaining book on Tudor Campaigns, Boulogne is not covered in as great detail as it mainly focuses on the "Rough Wooing" is: link

This really is an excellent book – you will be surprised how much fighting there was in Scotland in the 1540s.

5001 and $4 USD for shipping? Thats insane. Shipping is way to expensive…

I saw the Potter-book when it was still available at the publisher, for afaik around 180. The PDF came for around 10 less (not 10, 10 less…). I really wonder who set these prices.
