Hello everyone, Where to find Hyborean Flags to download for 25 / 32mm figures? I say to download and useless to send me to the sites of DrivethruRPG or Maximun Rock & Role Play, because in the first there is nothing and in the second it is not to download … These flags should be available commercially ! Thank you in advance… |

Paskal, perhaps there is some misunderstanding. We try to help one another, but we do not come her to serve. 1. Howard himself specifies only three banners--the Scarlet dragon on a gold field of Nemedia, the golden lion of Aquilonia and the crimson leopard of Poitain. Anyone with a computer and a printer should be able to create and print those. 2. Lin Carter invented others. If those are the ones you're talking about, paying $5 USD for a PDF so you can take advantage of his imagination is not an unreasonable fee, and some of the money presumably goes to his heirs. 3. Once you know what you want, "Hyborean" flags are very readily found or created from historical or fantasy flags. I note for instance that Lin Carter gave the Barrachan Pirates a white skull and crossbones on a black field. Do you think you can find or create such a banner, or does someone need to create a pirate flag and mark it "Barrachan Pirate Banner" before it is acceptable to you? Lots of things "should." Sadly, we have to deal with what "is." We're trying to help. Work with us a little. |

I need what I'm looking for and not your course of "literature" ;-) |

Paskal I really don't think you are going to get much help if you respond to people like that. I don't know where you live or if English is a second language for you, but both your posts in this thread strike me as blunt and demanding to the point of being rude. Everyone posts here voluntarily, mostly as a hobby. Ask for advice and guidance politely and maybe someone will help. I don't think demanding is going to be successful You say that the flags should be available commercially but it appears that they are already are. Robert has told you there is a $5 USD PDF. That is commercially available as far as I am concerned. |

Well said Douglas. I'm on the verge of using the 'stifle' option. |

For the subject itself, piepenbrink has told there is a $ 5.00 USD PDF. This is the "Royal Armies of The Hyborean Age" Rule that is for sale $ 5.00 USD PDF link It is not this rule that I want but a board of flags and there are no flags in this rule – I know it I have several examples of this rule – so let this case go both, because you are mistaken like piepenbrink..! |

Seconded Robert/fantasque. I tried to help him with the pdf of the rules. This guy is too demanding. Hunlion |

Fairness to Paskal. He's right that "Royal Armies of the Hyborean Age" is not a flag sheet. It just describes the flags, sometimes with black and white sketches. The problem is that while someone did once sell a line of Hyborian Age flags, they don't seem to be for sale now. (One suspects there were copyright difficulties. Under current US and EU law, any flag Lin Carter invented is protected into the 2060's.) Anyway, we're trying to show him work-arounds using medieval and fantasy flags, but it is going to involve more work for Paskal than downloading and printing off a sheet marked "Hyborean Age Flags." And I'm probably being less sympathetic than I would be otherwise, since I've had to create my own flag sheets for three projects in the past three years. It happens. And it's a lot easier in the days of computer graphic programs than it was when we were painting eagles freehand on tin foil. (Kids these days have it easy!) |

Thank you for your help Gwydion … We are finally there! Because now I remember it's on the old Fanaticus.org website that I had seen them! But now between those who tell me that I confuse Hyborean with Hyborian and who write by betting on me : "his is the 21st Century. You can no more expect people to spell than you can ask them to write grammatical sentences or construct paragraphs. (And I'll be back to reading dead authors this evening)."and those who think that I speak of the Hyperborean ???
It's enough for me,: – / By cons can be that for the respect of the work of Howard himself, I will certainly do that the Scarlet dragon on a gold field of Nemedia, the golden lion of Aquilonia and the crimson leopard of Poitain since it seems that the other armies Hyborian (not hyborean or Hyperborean as some say: – |) did not have flags … |

I'm pleased that your quest is satisfied, I think. |

Yes but now, it will stop to give wrong to those who are right! By cons, in the work of Howard himself, the dimension of the flags, is not given? |
williamb | 08 May 2019 2:41 p.m. PST |
R. E. Howard did not specify the size of the flags he mentioned in his stories. The ones by Lin Carter are entirely imaginary. Any type of flag you want could be substituted. Size is what ever you wan them to be. |
