Hello again all,
Been some time since I posted.
Here is my latest army.
The infantry are NVL from O8 ( Assault Publishing )
Vehicles are Scratchbuilt.
The mecha are EM4 plastic ones ( which I used in previous builds ) with Warlord plastic Ghar heads.
The drones are vintage 1991 heavy jetpacks by a now defunct company.

Thanks for your comments.

How did you do the numbering?

Great stuff

Thanks all,
Bill, those were done on a thin sheet of white paper ( i.e. thinner than the ones we usually print on) on a laser jet.
Trimmed down & stuck with white glue .
The edges , which will show in a photo, are touched with a small amount of dark ink.
I find that this works much better than fiddling around with decals & at 15mm almost non visible.

Oh, I forgot to add that the mechs' arms are made out of plastic sprue & old Gw bolters.

Nice, like the mechs.

I don't like mechs, but I like your mechs. They're kind of badass and believable. Also, not insanely huge compared to your other vehicles.

(Mechs are basically tall targets with complex and expensive propulsion systems that are slower than any other vehicle type except possibly on certain kind of difficult terrain -- anyway, I'm sure every senator from a planet with a mech factory will make sure that the military orders some.)

zrunelord07 May 2019 9:43 p.m. PST

Thanks for liking them.
I agree with you Sol. Why have a very expensive , very high war machine that can be targeted from everywhere when a low cheaper , less complicated tank can do the job?

But you must agree that mechs are pure Scifi & they're uber kool. I was raised on Willy Coyote, Sesame street, mostly Mazinga Z, Gundam & Patlabor , so mechs are my thing since forever .
I am truly, truly sorry for those kids who were raised on sponge bob etc…. A sponge.?!!!!
😉

But a sponge is really easy to scratch build… Frankly I'll take a stab at anything that isn't bipedal. Those Ghar heads are particularly cool and really work.

A horde of cannon fodder sponges!!!!!
Sounds interesting.😉

The ghar suits make great triped (?) mecha for 15mm & they have 3 heads on each sprue. Warlord have a sprue sale at the moment so it's a good time to get some.
They would make excellent mechanicum also with some mods.

You've done a very nice job with these. Especially the conversions and scratch building your vehicles!

Thanks Capt.
Scratchbuilding is one of the best parts of the hobby & you create unique models.
Everyone should try it.
