If you were to do a wargame with airships doing battle with one another, what rule system would you use? Would you adapt a system like Full Thrust, or would you make your own rules? I have the Airship Pirates rpg, but I've never played it. Maybe I'll take a look at the game again, to see if there's something I can use. |

Aeronef or Fleet Battles by GASLIGHT, which is part of the GASLIGHT Compendium. |

Yup, Aeronef and Imperial Skies. |

Imperial Skies for me. I'm working on a set as well, but designed for 1/300 and focused as much on boarding actions as gunnery (I rigged my fluff to make seizing vessels much more important than destroying them). |

Sky Galleons or Ironclads and Ether Flyers. |

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll check out those games. |

I'd suggest each already mentioned, at various levels of complexity. Each has a quirk or two that can irritate as well. ;->= Aeronef with some things added from Full Thrust is something I've toyed with, time to time, but nothing concrete to report. Doug [EDIT] I don't recall the Airship Pirate RPG (Abney Park, right?) having ship rules. I'll go look! |
