On average, how often do you complete another ancient army in 15mm and add it to your collection? |

About one DBA/Triumph sized army a year, I dick about alot. Just, technically, finished an Assyrian army for Triumph but I'm still adding unnecessary options because of the above. |

Never. Stopped using 15mm figures around 30 years back. |

Whenever a really good range is released for an army that I either want or have. The figures would have to be a substantial improvement on what I have In 4 1/2 years I have added 6 new armies, replaced a further 4, and added to at least 6. I still have 2 to buy from a kickstarter. I still have a few armies that I want. Chin/Han Chinese amongst them. |

For the period covered by the DBA army lists (Ancient thru Early Renaissance) – about one every month or so. For pre-Dark Age then about one every three to four as I have been doing later Medieval for a while as I had quite a few more of the earlier armies. |

Depends a lot on how you define "complete" and "ancient". On the first point, my Hurrians are conceived as a DBMM army with a couple allied contingents, but you could easily field six DBA armies from what I've got. So is that one or six armies? On the second, when does "ancient" end? The bulk of my collection is medieval. |

Never. My first and only 15mm ancient army lies mostly unpainted in the loft, while I try to paint all my existing 25mm armies, and all the other 25mm figures I keep buying on E-bay …. |

Never. I settled on City State Hoplites 45 years ago in 25mm, then 15mm and now 6mm, never changed. Let the other guy bring the foe. |

My turn around has gone down a lot in the last couple of years, but I've still done a couple of new armies in that time (if we include medieval armies). Before then, I probably did around three new armies a year. That is on top of the bits and pieces which I could add to existing armies to convert them into something similar – the various Successor armies for instance. Even when I could morph armies, I haven't always. This is sometimes because there are various manufacturers' figures which aren't always compatible and I've wanted to have them. I've also tried to do heraldry to fit specific armies. In some cases, I've started with good intentions to morph. For instance, for the Hungarians I already had an army for the 13th century which I morphed to one for the 15th century. But the knights are different, so I got some of those. And the infantry is very different, so I needed some of those. And they started having Serbian cavalry and war wagons, so I needed to add those. And the light cavalry looked a lot less like steppe cavalry, so I needed some of those. Which meant I had completely replaced the army. Whoops. There are various armies I have never used. I have two Teutonic Knight armies and neither has seen the battlefield. The second one was because I acquired a load of the 15th century figures from a friend some time after I'd painted up the 13th century figures, and I couldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. |

Why limit adding an ancient army to only 15mm? |
