Well the big battle with the Undead is now over and now they need to clean up the dead.

So:

Do you deforest that forest that is nearly in order to burn all of the bodies?

or

Do you dig great big pits and just bury them?

Now if there is still one of the Dragons around you could use it to help burn the bodies.

But there is going to be around 100,000 – 150,000+ bodies to get rid of.

Oh and lets not forget all of those horses as well.

Clean up is going to take quite awhile.

And it isn't just about cleanliness. If you don't really get rid of them, how do you know they aren't going to be the enemy at the next big battle with the Undead?

A herd of carrion crawlers should do the trick.

Teaser for next episode shows two dragons.
Plus Sansa was complaining about what to feed them. Horse meat?

I wouldn't go around singing "Ding dong, the Night King is dead!" just yet.
After all, Sauron was a successor Bad Guy.
Yup. Burn the bodies.

Show a little respect for tradition. Sell the lot of them. The teeth go to dentists and the bones get sold for fertilizer. The intact weapons go to the arsenal and all the broken stuff is sold by the pound to blacksmiths. The dealers will have that place picked clean in a week.

And the only thing any dragon should be fed is a crossbow quarrel. Nothing gets above me and mine on the food chain.

You need to break up the bodies so they don't reanimate.

So I'd suggest building a giant mincing machine and turn them into fertiliser.

Yes each and every body should be checked for anything that could be useful.

Weapons and decent armor should be cleaned & stockpiled, rings and jewelry gathered up.

Any weapon or armor that is not useful should be melted down and turned into something useful.

Sansa is sitting on a treasure trove and yes let the Dragons get their fill of horse meat.

It is going to get quite ripe before they get them all cleaned up.

Well the clip for the next episode has them burning them and that is the northern tradition (to burn the dead).

Those dragon glass blades can be cleaned and repurposed as surgical instruments. Way sharper than steel.

Just hire a friendly necromancer & have him/her march all the (un)dead to the fire pits. Yes, it may be expensive at a thaler a head, but think of all the future trouble you will be averting… ;-)

Okay they got it cleaned up quickly.

Though putting bodies on funeral pyres with the armor still on them means that they will not burn like you want them to.

Plus they seem to be a tad short on dead bodies, since each of those funeral pyres only had like 30 bodies and with the number of dead being well over 100,000 to 150,000+ would mean somewhere around 4,500 – 5,000 pyres.

Well so much for that forest that was north of Winterfell.

Just how long did it take to clean everything up?

Really it does not even look like a huge battle just took place.

Well we know what happen to some of the horses that they lost.
