I can't seem to nail that detail home, so I count on the cognoscenti here for a quick reply, please!

I'm working on a resource/TSATF rules variant/scenario book for the French Intervention, and this will help complete it.

Answer here, or if preferred, PM me at TVAG@att.net.

Thank you, O Me Brothers!

Standard French service rifle for 1863

Their original weapons were replaced with French rifles when they landed in Mexico

Frederick!

Muchisimas Gracias!

I followed your link and saved the article.

I also received help from another Gentleman whose anonymity I will respect here, though, alas, the three links he had for me did not have this detail I so needed.

Thanks to you both!

VAG,

I believe the accepted protocol for expressing gratitude in the above referenced situation goes…

"Thank you masked man."

that the Egyptian "rifles" were not up to par is that they were smoothbores.

Smoothbores, not up to par. Tell that to The Irish Brigade.

TVAG, when can we expect the French Intervention book to be available?
