More pics here: wargamer.be/wp 3D printed 28mm Sig 33 'Bison" and Panzerjäger I, both with Perry miniatures crews. I know, The Bison I was only used in Tunisia, not in the Western Desert but thanks to the new Perry plastic GI's I will also do forces for Tunisia so I'm good. :-) |

The Pzj I I recognize as one of the beautiful Corvus Terrain prints; where is the Bison from? |

I don't believe the Bison on the PzI chasse was ever used by the DAK |

@jdginaz You are correct. It was the Sig 33 Bison II that was used in Africa and Tunisia. I got my facts mixed up in my original post and I kind'a forgot why I am using the wrong type of Bison. Getting old and so.. :-) I'm using this Bison I as a stand-in for the Bison II as I cannot find a STL file for a Bison II and because it just looks cool. @Jeff Ewing: I got both STL's from Thingiverse. The Bison STL (28mm scale) is by Deweycat and the PzJ1 is from Bergmann's 1/100 scale Pz1 pack. I upscaled it to 28mm with no real loss of detail as you can see. |

Your blog says that it's cheaper than 'bought' models. May I ask what is your material cost? I imagine your time is also important, but as a hobby, we tend to write that off. Also, it appears that it takes about a day to print one model? Tanks |

The Panzerjäger has cost me 1.06 euro in material and electric costs. I don't count my time as it is indeed a hobby and I'm printing these only for myself. The Panzerjäger took about 4,5 hours to print at the best quality my printer can handle. |

Wow. It looks like it's time to print up the 21st Panzer Division. At El Alamein. |
