I think I liked the garage better before you added the patio, but very cool thinking outside the box! Sadly, I don't seen to have the skill of seeing things just as their shape, which really puts a damper in scratchbuilding like that.

Great use of scrap. The x-wing ships come with a lot of tokens so the token frame provides a lot of good shapes. |

Thanks. Well, I hope by posting, I can give people ideas on how to look at stuff and see what it can become. Here's another use of token frames. inlgames.com/frames.htm I volunteered two years running for a local board game convention. So when we got together to punch the games for the library/play to win, I was the guy everyone gave the frames to. I have a couple more projects with them that I need to write up. Happy scrappin'! |

Sadly, I don't seen to have the skill of seeing things just as their shape, which really puts a damper in scratchbuilding like that. Like any skill, it can be acquired and developed. Try looking at real things and, instead of labelling them as "house", "car", "office building", etc., just look at their shapes, and the shapes of the things that make them up. Eventually you'll start seeing the other way, too, seeing shapes and imagining them as objects. |
