I agree that The Thing is a far greater movie than either of the next two nominees but how is the The Thing a Lovecraft movie? |

Agreed. It was based on an SF story by John Campbell and was itself remake of an earlier film called "The Thing". Unless there was a 3rd movie called "The Thing" that I've never seen? |

'The Thing' may not be strictly Lovecraft but it is "Lovecraftian." I have heard people saying 'Alien,' 'Event Horizon' and 'Annihilation' are Lovecraftian. YMMV. |
