I was curious what solutions gamers are using for mats or table surface representation of tabletop battles for Caribbean battles/sieges and what sorts of buildings, trees, brush and other etceteras.

Especially curious on the approach to handling the representation of water, if at all. Do gamers just use one water's edge like a beach head look, or use an island mat where there is water all around?
