Recently got to play Hotshots: link at a local board game convention. Played solo, wasn't bad. Decide where to send your guys (each has a special ability), roll some dice, lock some and roll again, until you match a combination, or cause the fire to flare up. |

Seems like a boardgame based on the pandemic model might work well. |

Yes, seriously. The fire spreads based on card draws or your own die rolls, so pretty unpredictable. The decisions you make can reduce the threat or make it worse. You have to consider the terrain affects and movement rates. Sure, it's a simplistic simulation (ie. a game), but does give the feel of a battle against the blaze. |

How about a firefight while fighting the fire. Hunters, Campers, zombies, a pot plantation and it's guards, the DEA, and the smoke jumpers all hammer and tongs while the terrain shifts. |
