When you have your scenarios with alien invaders do their officers hand out informational flyers to their troops?

Funny they would use Mable Pines as the image for the weaponized human :) |

Insignificant creatures, who build vast colonies, and fight one another regularly, just like how we view ants. |

There are a few book series about this. One is John Ringo's Legacy of the Altdenata (sp? his Posleen War series). Basically, humanity is seen as being terrifyingly dangerous, almost as existentially dangerous as the incoming Posleen (think 40k Orks, just not fungus). The Galactics are getting their butts kicked, but are so afraid of the humans that they try to set us up to grind ourselves to pieces against the Posleen (not a spoiler, it's literally chapter 1 of the first book). It does not go very well for the Galactics. Another one is The Damned series by Alan Dean Foster. Humans are terrifying, because all other sentient life in the galaxy developed on stable supercontinent planets. Humans are immensely adaptable. Where the alien confederation would deploy sharks or dolphins to a water planet, humanity just goes swimming. This means that deploying humans means you never have to wait for the hyperspecialized species for the environment to be available, you just keep going. |

"Establish contact and trade relations with the inhabitants of the third planet of the Sol system? Are you insane? You know that they have actually used nuclear weapons in war -- against each other! on their own planet! "They are clearly incapable of achieving a sufficiently high level of civilization to join the community. We should instead interdict that star system, but continue to monitor their technological development so that we can prevent them from developing an interstellar drive." -Excerpt of a recent debate in the Interstellar Council. |

Who wants to spend time with peopel who have such poor self-esteem as humans? To say nothing of their hypocrisy. |

Who wants to spend time with peopel who have such poor self-esteem as humans? Indeed. Humans constantly belittle themselves via pretend analysis from imaginary aliens. |

One of the Terran Trade Authority books was a book about dangerous aliens throughout the galaxy… as a prequel to the series, as we decode a data storage device that fell to Earth from a stricken vessel, detailing some of the dangerous creatures, sentient and animal, to be found on various worlds and in certain regions of space. Yes, we're one of the dangerous species; why do you ask? |

Considering that a group of humans with pointy sticks, fire and some preparation time can kill any land animal that they have shared the planet with, many by simply jogging after them until they drop dead from exhaustion and that humans are one of the very few vertebrates that can survive not only breaking a major limb bone but actually having a limb amputated if I was an alien I'd be terrified of the species. |
