Once again, in memoriam of our departed colleague, I leave this thread for discussion of A Game Of Thrones' latest episode. More filler this week before the storm. Old cads reunited with little trouble to speak of. A certain actress turned 18, and on this show, you know what that means. Brienne is a Knight- great scene. Trouble in Dany / Jon's paradise? After next week, it may not matter. |

I thought it was a brilliant episode. The chance to be just human before the non-humans attack. Also the drama between certain characters (trying not to spoil it) gave us many insights into the real person behind the facade. I fear/expect the body count will be very high next week. |

Ser Jaime is spat upon (they missed) at Winterfell. Oddly, Theon, the character who has harmed Winterfell the most was not. He just shows up. This episode was all about putting differences behind us, For the Greater Good. And then st the last minute… SPOILER |

John the OFM passed away???
No. Exiled. |

John is on one of his periodic walkabouts away from here. I wouldn't call that spittle directed at Jaime so much as about Jaime. I liked a lot of the character interactions from this episode, but it did seem to drag just a little. I surprised Theon was welcomed so easily back into the fold. I suspect he'll be joining the Night King next week, as will several others. I couldn't quite discern the look on Arya's face after her event in the episode. It was somewhere between 'what did I just do?' and 'that's it? that's what all the hubbub is about?' |

Something that has occurred to me is: where are the Dothraki? Too cold for them? And where is Melisandre? I bought into the theory that she would return, sacrifice herself to create Lightbringer to allow Jon to slay the Night King. No sign of her yet. |

If Mel is going to sacrifice herself to bring about Lightbringer…. Azor Ahai plunges The Sword into his beloved Nissa Nissa to forge Lightbringer. Mel is NOT beloved. If she thinks that, it's just one more delusion on her part. Dothraki were foraging for sheep and goats for the dragons last week. One thing that impresses me hugely this season. All extraneous plot lines have been cut. Every episode so far gets right down to business, and production values are impressive. |

That is one thing I didn't like about this episode. The complexity of the show, all these people that hate each other or have fought in the past, just cast that all aside and are friends now. I understand that they are facing a crisis that will destroy them all but they just got rid of 3/4 of the complex plot lines they had. What happens when Bran and Jamie meet. Well it turns out Bran doesn't really care any more about being pushed out a window. Makes sense but it is a little too convenient. This episode was pretty disappointing I thought, like we had to have all that stuff tied up in a neat bow before moving on. |

Very weak writing. I'm expecting the ending to be similar to Westworld- lame and uninspiring. Are there no Heroic and Epic story-writers left ? |

Would you go into the crypt? I don't want anything to do with a place they bury the dead when an army of the dead is coming about. I think this was the last hurrah for many a character. I am going to miss a bunch of them. They have killed nobody in two episodes. That is about to change! |

The white Walker story line is kinda bleing(zombies are boring even if they are blue) I'm guessing they just want to get rid of the boring blue people (there is no intrigue with them) The fight between factions are ready to recomence as soon as big bad blue is dead. As soon as Sansa learns John is the true king, she'll publicly go against Desirey, and all hell breaks loose.

That would mean a happy ending. I don't think this is going to turn out happy. I am fully expecting 80-90% of our dear friends are going to die next week. |

I liked this one much better than the last. I understand that they are facing a crisis that will destroy them all but they just got rid of 3/4 of the complex plot lines they had. They've been playing "Ten Little Indians" with characters and arcs for three seasons now, and funneling the survivors "Battle Royale"-style into a killing ground. Dozens of whole Houses have been (apparently) wiped out to a man. Nothing new here. Soo…now the Targaryen cat's out of the bag, and Dany can put her money where her mouth is: She can either surrender her bloody campaign to be Supreme Ultimate Prom Queen, and make absolutely everybody in Westeros besides Cersei and herself happy. Or, have a fit and storm upstairs and scrawl nasty things about everybody in her diary. Because 'Runner Up' is really just 'First Loser'. |

as the white walkers are all sons of crastus , are they not looking for their missing brother little sam ? Bran should go back in time and kill crastus … rumours of the night king nailing bran to the tree in the wormwood and taking him back in time to show him its man thats evil not the dead may be false . |
