I'm thinking of doing a sort of Nutcracker theme: Toy Soldiers v. Mice.

For the Soldiers, I'm thinking of Irregular's 42mm Marlburians "Toy Soldier Style" sculpts.

For the rodents, I'm uncertain. I'd like them to be about the same size and in a sort of toy soldier style if possible.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking of toys, game pieces, etc, not really fierce and realistic like GW Skaven. Perhaps some of the old GW?

Suggestions appreciated!

How do you feel about Highlander rats in kilts with muskets? Alternative Armies does their Joccian faction for Flintloque. Yeah. Rats with guns pretty much sums them up.

Sorry, I don't know about 42mm. If you decide on 28mm, Bridge Miniatures sells Ratmen, armed with either muskets or halberds. They are in realistic action poses (as you would see in historical figures) and wearing cloth tunics.
