Where can I find a copy of Napoleon's Battles 4?

Also, are they similar or just an updated reprint of the old Avalon Hills green box set?

Wasn't there a Kickstarter for this that failed.

No, in the UK Caliver stock it, not sure about the US of A. They are a new set, with some tweaks to the rules,

still the best set of Bde level rules for the period,

How demanding are the basing requirements? Not worried about my infantry or guns but, iirc, NB used to have a unique basing scheme for cavalry.

For the big battles I agree – an excellent game.

However, I was never convinced by them for the Peninsula because of the way artillery was abstracted. I think it was at Salute some years ago where there was a very nice Talavera game, it looked great but there weren't any allied artillery batteries depicted as their effect was built into the mechanics, it just didn't really look right to me.

I have all four editions of the NB rules, the fourth edition brings some great additions to the table. Fighting for build up areas has been improved. Options for inter-penetration of friendly troops have been included. Adjustments to standard unit characteristics are also included. I enjoy playing the big battles as the army commander, not needing to make decisions for every battalion, squadron or battery. The rules give me the same information that I expect the overall commander would have. The fourth edition has made some improvement on an already great game!
