WYSIWY launched a campaign to fund a board game on the Planet of the Apes saga. You will find miniatures to paint as well as elements of scenery like the famous statue of Liberty half buried.

If you scroll down the kickstarter page they show renderings of the original apes & humans, They look pretty good IMHO
Otherwise I agree about the "new" apes, they don't look like they are "civilized" as in the movie. |

Previous KS failed to fund, so this is a First Created KS. Also, they have to work with Fox on this. While Prodos has much of the blame for Aliens vs. Predator, delays and thus cost overruns were caused by Fox. Part of the failure of the project could have been caused by Prodos not taking into account the long waits for Fox's approval of sculpts, but, eh, I'm not *that* much of a fan of the movies to look further into this. |
