I noticed this board game on BGG. Has it been released? If not, any plans to? I saw they had some pre production copies back in 2017.

Sounds like its dead (from BGG) but the designer is making items available (forums section) for people to make their own. Perhaps if you contact them they may have "playtest" versions available. Just thinking out loud.

Hi, If you are referring to the IHMN boardgame I recently listed on BoardGameGeek then, as I'm the designer, I can report rumours of its death are premature 😊
It is not published yet but around 20 professionally printed copies exist and are being sent out free for review and feedback.
I have a spare copy and I'm willing to send it out for review (and keep if you wish) if a couple of conditions can be met.
1. I'm in the UK I can cover postage costs, even internationally, so long as they're not prohibitive.
2. The recipient commits to play the game (soonish) and is willing to post their opinion on BGG (good or bad, I appreciate comments so long as they are structured/constructive).
Offer stands till end May 2019 or till a reviewer is found (whichever is sooner), it's not first come first served, a prolific blogger / pro-reviewer will get priority, sorry but these prototypes are expensive and I need some bang for my buck.
You can send a public or personal message if you're interested.

I've been too delinquent in playtests to make the request, but I'll give the rulebook a look and see if I can't cobble something together to give a try.

Best luck, Mark!

I'm in the same boat as Doug/TheBeast. I would definitely support a kickstarter effort.

Thanks for the honesty Doug & Keith, I handed out some earlier handmade prototypes to people who failed to keep their promises so I'm a bit more restrained than before.
The game has 4 decks (location, adversary, mission & actions) totalling over 300 cards so I don't see it as a print and play type of game (those handmade prototypes were a killer).
I have no plans to Kickstarter the game (too much like the day job to be fun) but the recipients of the pro-printed copies have been made aware that I will gift the game to anyone who looks like they can successfully publish it (that day job makes me enough money to live on and the hassle of declaring a tax return on a meagre royalties check isn't worth it).
Hopefully someone will step up ….

Kind Regards
Mark

Maldred: I'm interested in playtesting. My email is lecoqfou at gmail.com. I have no problem paying for postage.im not a prolific blogger but I do have one and get decent traffic when I post. Additionally. I would playtest at my club which is pretty large and has others who blog, etc.

After Mark decided to let me give it a try, I received and broke out the game, for an unboxing and a look, after our regular tabletop battle, WWII tanks instead of VSF.

Everyone seemed genuinely interested if giving a go. We may start a separate post, of course.

Doug
