Looking for some very good books on these Wars? |

Mallett, Michael and Shaw, Christine, The Italian Wars: 1494–1559 (Harlow, England: Pearson Education, Inc., 2012). ISBN 978-0-582-05758-6. Just for a start – a good overview over the era. If somebody finds articles or books about the specific early campaigns I would love to hear from them. |

There's an online article at deremilitari.org/2014/02/1547 on the Romagna campaign of 1494, a nice little sideshow. There's an Osprey Campaign series title on the battle of Fornovo, but it's not one of their best. And there's link due out at the end of this year, by the author of the fine Stemmi e Imprese website – stemmieimprese.it |

I have and really enjoyed the Italian Wars as mentioned by Puster, it covers the whole series of conflicts though not just the 1494 invasion. |

I should also mention the De Rohan à Turenne blog, rohanturenne.blogspot.com/, which has a lot of useful postings on the Italian War as well as later periods – notably link for an order of battle of the French army in Italy in 1495. Most postings are in both French and English. |
