I got one boxed set of Space Marine Scouts for my Primaris army, it's an older kit that was first produced several editions ago of 40k. The minis. detail still holds up pretty well despite being a number of years old.
I painted these with the same idea I did the rest of my Primaris army. I base coated them with blue spray primer with lighter blue and gray drybrushed highlights, and then dulled down with Agrax Earthshade wash, including their cloaks. I kept their weapons all black with some medium gray drybrushed highlights.
I wanted them to look like they are on campaign and trying to blend somewhat into the environment, without any overbearing insignia or bright colors.
GW's box cover paint jobs had white trousers and bright silver parts on the guns, but to me that didn't make sense for snipers trying to conceal themselves.
Pics (Note: I do want to fix the flesh on one of the models that's firing his rifle. His flesh came out wonky and looks like he's wearing a mask or pasty makeup, lol)
