So am painting up an ancient ADLG army and need some bases. I've always used litko in the past but his pricing seems on 60mm squared is really messed up.
60mm squared-100 count is $46 USD
60mm circular. -100 count is $16 USD
60mmx30mm – 100 count is $16 USD

It'll be much cheaper to buy 200 of the 60x30 and just glue , not ideal but better than $46 USD, or some other company would be better.
I sent an email to litko asking if it was a typo, for the reply that there's a lot of waste with the square hence the big price. But there doesn't seem to be as much waste with the round or the rectangle ones-same amount of wood, same angles but more cutting. Is there a very popular rule system that uses just 60x60 basing?
So am looking for a company that does those nice think wood bases, and seem to remember a company at cold Wars, h'con in Lancaster that sold them by volume. Does anyone know remember who that was please?

If you haven't started yet… cause the bases are 50x50, Rebel Minis sells 10 plastic ones for $3.50 USD

Have you tried Warbases? Based in the UK, but excellent service and product.

Aynsley,
I can second Warbases, great service.

Or depending on when you want them, if they are 3mm plywood, I can cut them for you, but won't be back on the laser until first week in May.

Warbases without a doubt.

We've got 60x60mm's as well: link 100 of them would be around $22 USD I think, depending on the exchange rate.

Thank you all, will look at Pendragon and warbases.

I've always cut my own from basswood.

You can google 6 Squared Studios. I believe they use 1/8" harboard and 100 60x60 mm cost about $28.00 USD Canadian.

I have several hundred of different size bases from them and rate them highly.

1/8" or 3cm is the standard thickness. I notice that the Pendragon are 2cm thickness.

60mm frontage is standard basing frontage so PzGeneral's suggestion I imagine won't work.

Litko's explanation seems far fetched to me. I also find their shipping on the high end.

I have bought bases from 6 Squared Studios. The quality is equal to Litko.

If you want exactly the same product as Litko you could try The Stockade. I can testify that it is exactly the same material and laser cutting. Don't be put off by the minimums. For simple cuts like yours they are easy to deal with.

@Chazzmac

What does hardboard in Canada relate to?

Hardboard in the UK is cheap and nasty stuff, two surfaces are differently finished and are prone to warping.

Hardboard in the US might be Masonite or perhaps a thicker form of MDF or HDF.

MDF in the UK is what most laser cutting business's use, both 2mm and 3mm.

@Marcus

Pendraken are 2mm thick, 2cm is a typo surely.
