You recently voted for an all-star superhero team consisting of: * Captain America * Wonder Woman * Doctor Stephen Strange * Iron Man * Superman * Thor Which of these should be the team leader? |

Dr. Doom. They just wouldn't realize it. :) |

Doctor Strange, really? This is team of superheroes, not a cookie-cutter D&D warband requiring a magic user. |

…the strongest! So … let's see: Iron Man, but grit trumps technology, so … Capitan America, but raw power overcomes grit, so … Superman, but magic nerfs raw power, so … Doctor Strange, but divine power owns magic, so … Thor, but the godslayer kills the divine outright, so … Wonder Woman! |

Superman… duh… cause he can do anything… |

The D&D equivalents are Cap = fighter paladin WW = warrior/mage Strange = wizard/cleric Iron Man = rogue/bard Superman = ranger Thor = fighter barbarian Hawkeye/Green Arrow would make a better ranger. Ant-man or Spidey should be thief and Black Widow or Deathstroke/Deadpool the assassin. |

Or they could call in a management consultant to help them decide. A long time and a small fortune later, they'll no doubt receive a report informing them that their outlook is too task-based for effective leadership. They'll therefore need to spend a significantly larger fortune hiring a Team President whose superpowers are limited to a diploma for Six-Sigma Black Belt. A year later they'll find themselves with Vice-Presidents for Operational Solutions, Ethics, Environment, Minority Opportunities, Brand Image and Cost Reduction. They will spend most of their time writing productivity, cost and environmental impact reports, and brainstorming 'Blue Sky' schemes on Team Days. They will constantly have to leave fights and rescue missions halfway through to avoid missing their short-interval control meetings. Two years later, Captain America will have been terminated due to his overt patriotism being judged as workplace harassment. Wonder Woman will be on leave as she works through a lawsuit around suitable female workplace attire. Thor's hammer will have been judged cost-inefficient and replaced with a cheaper model sourced from Slovakia. Iron Man is now Biodegradable Plastic Man. Batman will try to take Captain America's place, but is unsuccessful due to his utility belt being considered insufficiently Lean. Three years later: Supervillains rule the earth…

Dang, Musketballs, that is one depressing outlook…probably accurate, though. |

Probably Cap, but I used to read more Defenders than Avengers, so I might also say Dr. Strange. |

Captain America or Wonder Woman. Either will listen to input from the others and assign roles most suited to tasks. |

CPT America of course … He is the only one on that list that had command experience in the military ! |

I think there is a very real possibility that this next flick will be the swan song of CA, Thor and Iron Man. The movie will be a struggle against Thanos, ostensibly, but will reflect on these character's history in the franchise. In the end it will turn out that Odin, Thanos, Hela and Loki were acting as front men for a transcendental league of heroes who have been testing to find potential candidates to join them. Hela will wink and ask, "Didn't it seem odd to you that in this whole universe, all 6 stones would be in 1 Galaxy?" Once the heroes have met the test, time will be rewound and all the loss and destruction since CAtFA will be undone. New York spared. Asgard restored. The hammer back. Thor and Natalie Portman ascend. Tony and Pepper ascend. CA is reunited with his WWII flame and they ascend. The Hammer is left on Earth for a new "Thor.". See new origin story. Cappy takes over as IM. CM takes over in the CA slot. And a whole new timeline begins, probably with deaged Fury and Coulson remeeting for the 1st time. |
