Nice report with some great looking forces. Much different than the 40k tournaments I see with miniatures completely lacking paint…. |

Outstanding photos, and sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience. Part of the reason I enjoy some of my local tournaments so much is the incredible sportsmanship and almost outlandish lists folks come up with to have a fun game. I ran an all-infantry german list(aside from my 'mosquitos', or kubelwagens), guys have ran a Maus with Volkssturm, and other fun, non-competitive lists. I hope someday to find a tournament where I can run my 'water balloon' Soviet list with 6 Ampolumet teams. nothing resembling competetive, but sometimes the look of confusion on an opponent's face is worth more than a day full of wins. |

Thanks, it was a great time. Minibeady, I agree sportsmanship is top of my list which is what I never suspected what was going on until I discovered it after the fact and was so shocked. There were a few hard list, but nothing too outrageous. Personally I struggle with Multi-launchers and any indirect fire weapon bigger that a light mortar being on the table in a skirmish game. This is also why I commonly refer to Bolt Action as WWII flavored, but really advanced Rock. Paper Scissors. Fun game though and I enjoy it for something on the lighter side. It does encourage people to learn history who would not otherwise be interested. |
